Creativity

I was so, so pleased when Brian rescued Skin & Tonic and asked me to become creative director and an investor. I’ve been in the beauty business since I was 17 and have been passionate about natural beauty for ever. Being creative director is a dream come true for me.

I loved the catwalk and I still do the occasional show but stepping off it has opened a new world. I’ve become a bit of a dare addict and I’ll do almost anything for charity. I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2016 to raise money for Help For Heroes Two years ago I was one of the team in the ITV show Don’t Rock The Boat, which challenged two teams of six to row from Cornwall to the West Highlands of Scotland. I’ve ridden my bike around the world for the Hidden Wounds charity which is specifically to support ex service personnel who have mental health issues - anything from PTSD to anxiety and / or to depression. Of all my challenges, the Tour De Celeb really pushed me to the limit. It’s a wonderful life but, golly, it does take a toll on your skin! It’s one reason I’m so attracted to this business and why I’m determined to bring it to a wider market.

Angus Dent

Opperations & Finance

Angus is 62. He’s an accountant who trained with Price Waterhouse and he wears bright shirts. Lots of accountants do that. It’s an attempt to prove to themselves that they are not boring.

Angus really doesn’t need to bother. He is an accomplished scuba diver, a qualified racing driver who rebuilt an Aston Martin DB6 and recently blew it up on the way back from Le Mans. He is now saving up to get it repaired and back from France.

He is a former chairman of the Aston Martin Racing Club.

An avid walker and enjoys biking with his son, Alec, a former Rochester Cathedral chorister, now an accomplished musician.

Angus is separated from his wife Ruth which is a relief to both. While he’s narrowed his search for an attractive female companion with whom he can share his life, there’s no sale yet.

Bryan & Lynne

Backing

Lynne is 70 and Brian is 80. They have provided the finance to develop the business.

You’ll recognise Brian, he’s the one with the chewed fingernails.

Theirs is a true love story. They met 1974. Then didn’t see each other for decades. They re-met at a charity ball and have just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Lynne is an accomplished organiser who studied languages at school. She keeps Brian from spending too much - not always successfully.

Brian was a journalist and corporate investigator. He likes still to think of himself as journalist still but actually he’s an entrepreneur who has built a number of companies.

Brian says: ‘Life is like a bicycle - if you stop peddling you fall off.’

Lynne says: ‘???’
